Unity Professional Staffing Agency LLC ("Unity," "we," "us") is an Ohio staffing agency headquartered at 3181 Morse Road, Unit #43, Columbus, OH 43231. This policy explains what personal information we collect through our website, our application and talent-request forms, and our recruiting and staffing operations — and how we use, share, and protect it.

1. Information We Collect

From job seekers and candidates: name, contact details (email, phone, address), work history, education, skills, resume/CV, salary expectations, work-authorization status and supporting documentation (e.g., for Form I-9 verification), language abilities, and — with your separate written consent — background-check and drug-screening results. If we place you on assignment, we also collect payroll information (Social Security number, tax withholding elections, bank details for direct deposit) and timekeeping records.

From employers and business clients: company name, contact person, business email and phone, industry, and staffing requirements.

From website visitors: usage data collected automatically (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps) via our hosting provider's analytics. We do not use advertising trackers.

From text-messaging and phone interactions: your phone number, consent records, and message history when you opt in to receive SMS from us (see our SMS Terms).

2. How We Use Your Information

• Matching candidates with job opportunities and presenting qualified candidates to clients
• Employment administration when Unity is your employer of record: payroll, tax withholding, workers' compensation, unemployment insurance, and legally required reporting
• Verifying identity and employment eligibility (Form I-9 / E-Verify where applicable)
• Conducting background checks and drug screenings only with your separate, written authorization as required by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA)
• Communicating with you about applications, interviews, assignments, schedules, and pay
• Meeting legal obligations (tax, EEO recordkeeping, OSHA, Ohio BWC)
• Improving our website and services

3. How We Share Information

We share personal information only as follows:

• With prospective employers/clients: relevant candidate qualifications, with your knowledge, for placement purposes
• With service providers who process data on our behalf: applicant tracking, email and productivity, payroll processing, background-check providers (FCRA-regulated consumer reporting agencies), and communications platforms — each bound to use your data only to provide services to us
• With government authorities when required by law (IRS, Ohio Department of Taxation, ODJFS, BWC, subpoenas, court orders)
• In a business transfer (merger, acquisition, or sale of assets), subject to this policy

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for third-party marketing.

Text-messaging consent is never shared: All information regarding your opt-in to receive text messages from Unity — including your phone number and SMS consent — will not be shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes under any circumstances.

4. Data Retention

We retain candidate records for as long as needed to consider you for opportunities and as required by law (e.g., I-9 forms for the later of 3 years after hire or 1 year after employment ends; payroll and tax records per federal and Ohio requirements; EEO records per applicable regulations). You may ask us to delete your candidate profile at any time; we will honor the request except where retention is legally required.

5. Security

We use commercially reasonable safeguards — access controls, encrypted transmission (HTTPS), and reputable, access-controlled service providers — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your Rights and Choices

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us (Section 9). You may opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP, and out of marketing email via the unsubscribe link. Background checks occur only with your prior written authorization, and you have FCRA rights (including notice and a copy of the report) if adverse action is considered based on one.

7. Children

Our services are intended for individuals of legal working age. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. Certain positions require applicants to be 18 or older.

8. Changes to This Policy

We will post any changes on this page with an updated effective date. Material changes will be highlighted on our website.
